How do I see Dr. Scott as a New Consult?
Please have your family physician or walk in clinic physician send a letter to our office regarding your hip/knee/shoulder concern. Dr. Scott will review the request to determine how to best help you. The Referral Letter can be sent to Fax: 416 754 0116, emailed to cscottoffice@shn.ca, or sent via eOcean.
How long does it take to see Dr. Scott as a New Consult?
You are seen according to how urgent your referring doctor deems your case. Usually patients are seen in 2-6 months for a New Consultation.
How long does it take to have my operation by Dr. Scott?
The time to surgery is also triaged in a way that provides the safest care to provide the best possible outcome to patients. Usually for elective surgery the wait time is between 3-6 months to surgery and can vary pending surgical resources and the surgical waiting list.
After I have seen Dr. Scott and made a decision on surgery what can I expect?
You will sign a permission form for surgery. Our surgical assistant will contact you about the bloodwork and pre operative visits organized for you including seeing anesthesia before your surgery if indicated for you. You will be given a surgical date for you as dates become available from the hospital.
